From our workshop deep in the Wiltshire countryside, UK, the team at Fenella Elms Studio continue to work on artworks that shift with perspective, refract ideas and suspend thought.

Free Flow

Free Flows are handmade porcelain Flows contained in a brass frame. A smaller presentation of Fenella’s well-known Flows, the rounds capture moments of movement. They can be displayed on a wall individually for a small stance of drama, or many can be hung across a larger surface to create a dramatic installation. Find out more >

Bound Flow

These porcelain rounds are cast from handmade Flows, glazed in a soft matt white and banded by hand with precious gold. Available in three sizes, the rear of each piece has multiple fixing points so that one Bound Flow can be hung numerous ways, depending on how you would like it to play with the light. Available as a set or individually, Bound Flows create moments of movement across a wall. Discover Bound Flow >

Suspended Porcelain

Extremely delicate, handmade porcelain structures float within a block of sustainable acrylic and are framed by an incandescent frame of colour.  As you move around them, the porcelain ribbons dance with their reflections in the glowing edges of the sculpture and illuminate in colour. Although in a permanent state of fix, Suspended Porcelains constantly move and play with light. Learn more >

Ebb

An expansion of Flow, these dramatic installations dance across any surface where you might have hung a picture. Available in six designs, the murmurations capture a moment of formation in a poised stillness.

Ebb installations are built from a combination of up to four sizes of ceramic glazed pods fixed directly to the wall. Each Ebb comes complete with a life-size blueprint map for you to mark the design layout. They are handmade in Stoke-on-Trent and decorated with bespoke glazes in Dove White, Canary Yellow, Teal Green, or Ink Blue. See our Ebb installations >
